LED Brows manual
Two bars of eight lights above the screen that warn you with colour, without taking your eyes off the track: pits, spotter, flags, ABS, traction and gear shift. A PRO plan overlay of Raptor Racing Overlay.
The LED Brows are two thin plates of eight lights each (or just one, if you prefer) that sit at the edge of your vision, above the screen. They show no numbers or text: each situation has its own colour and its own way of flashing, so you read them out of the corner of your eye while you drive.
They warn you about six things: the pit lane and the limiter, cars alongside you, flags, ABS, traction loss and gear shift. Each warning can be turned off on its own, and gear shift is off by default. They only read data from iRacing: they never change anything in your car.

Both bars in the pit lane, with the limiter on.
- 1Yellow at the ends: the two lights at each end stay solid yellow while you're in the pit lane with the limiter on.
- 2Blue and white in the middle: the four middle lights alternate blue and white and swap places as they flash. It's the sign that the limiter is on.
- 3The space between the bars: it's transparent and covers nothing in the game; clicks go straight through. Each bar can be placed wherever you want, on its own.
- 4The right bar: it mirrors the left one. Where one has blue, the other has white.
- 5The plate: each lit light glows inside its plate without spilling onto the track; the lights that are off stay grey.
Every warning, as you see it
This is how both bars look in each situation, with the default settings. Lights that flash are shown here at one instant of their flashing. Gear shift exists too, but it's off by default: you turn it on in WHAT THEY SHOW, and it's explained below.
What wins when several things happen at once
Each warning covers the less important ones. The spotter is the exception: it only covers the bar on its side, and the other bar keeps showing what it had.
From least to most important:
- Gear shift
- ABS and traction loss
- Flags
- Spotter
- Pits and limiter: the most important one, it covers all the others.
Pits and limiter
They light up when you enter the pit lane and go off when you leave it.
- Pit lane with limiter
- Solid yellow at the ends, and blue and white alternating in the middle, swapping places as they flash. The right bar is mirrored.
- Pit lane without limiter
- All eight lights red, flashing fast: turn on the limiter.
Flags
If there's more than one flag at a time, only one is shown, in this order: black, checkered, blue, yellow, white and green. Both bars show the same thing.
- Black
- All solid red. Also for the black flag warning and for disqualification.
- Checkered
- White lights alternating, one on and one off, swapping places as they flash.
- Blue
- All blue, flashing: a faster car is catching you.
- Yellow
- All yellow, flashing. Includes the waving yellow and the full-course yellow.
- White
- All solid white: last lap.
- Green
- All solid green for 5 seconds from when the green flag comes out or the start is given. Then they go off.
Spotter, ABS and traction loss
ABS and traction can light up at the same time, because each has its own zone. They stay on for just an instant after each pulse, so even the shortest one shows.
iRacing doesn't say when the wheels spin: the bars work it out by comparing engine revs with the car's speed, and they learn each car's gearbox on their own while you drive. They don't light up while braking, with the clutch pressed, with the pit limiter or the rev limiter working, or right when you change gear.
- Spotter
- With one or two cars on your left, the whole left bar flashes orange; on your right, the right one; with cars on both sides, both. With a single bar, its left or right half flashes.
- ABS
- Amber lights on the outer half of each bar while ABS is working. With a single bar, the two lights at each end.
- Traction loss
- Light blue lights on the inner half of each bar when the wheels spin. With a single bar, the four in the middle.
Gear shift
It's off by default: turn it on in WHAT THEY SHOW. It uses the same shift light points as your car's dashboard in iRacing; if the car doesn't have them, it takes the redline and starts lighting up from 85% of it.
The lights fill from the edges toward the middle as the revs go up: two green pairs on the outside, then a yellow one and the red one in the middle. When you reach the point where the car's lights flash, all eight turn blue and flash very fast: shift. It only works with a gear engaged, not in neutral or reverse.
When they show, on your phone and in OBS
By default they only show while you're driving on track, with the lights grey when there's nothing to warn about. With "Hide the bars while there are no alerts" they disappear and come back on their own when something lights up. In WHERE IT SHOWS you can add the garage and replays.
To see them off track, use "Test the bars (12 s)" on the right-click menu: they go through the limiter, a car on the left, yellow, blue, ABS and traction, gear shift, checkered and green. Warnings you've turned off don't show in the test.
With the menu's wifi connection on, the bars also show on your phone or tablet and in the Broadcast page for OBS, with the same flashing, the same number of bars and the same spacing. In OBS, while the bars are hidden, nothing shows.
Controls and settings
- On the overlay: with "Allow moving the overlay" on, or in move mode (Ctrl+M from the menu), dragging a bar moves just that bar. In move mode each one says LEFT or RIGHT, a thin gold frame goes around both and the name and the ✓ LOCK button show up below: dragging the name moves both together, and the corners change the size.
- Right-click on the overlay (on one of the plates): Bars (One bar, Two bars and Put the bars together), What they show (the six warnings), Overlay size (Bigger and Smaller in 10% steps, or 75, 100, 125, 150 and 200%), Hide the bars while there are no alerts, Also show it in the garage, Also show it in replays, Allow moving the overlay, Bar opacity (0 to 100%, applies to plates and lights), Test the bars (12 s) and Close the LED Brows.
- In the Raptor Racing Overlay menu: the LED Brows screen is a single page with no tabs: SIMULATE (pick one of 16 situations and see it in the menu's demo), WHEN THEY SHOW, HOW MANY BARS, WHERE EACH BAR GOES (with Put the bars together), WHAT THEY SHOW, SIZE (75 to 200%), BAR OPACITY, Allow moving the overlay by dragging it, WHERE IT SHOWS (Garage and Replays) and SEE IT ON YOUR PHONE.
Tips
- Before the race, use the simulator on the settings screen to see each situation on its own, or "Test the bars" to see them all in a row on your screen.
- If your wheel already has shift lights, leave gear shift off; if it doesn't, turn it on in WHAT THEY SHOW.
- If a bar covers something, move it away: in move mode each one is dragged on its own. "Put the bars together" puts them back the way they came.
- The right-click has to land on a plate: the space between the bars lets the click through to the game. The same settings are in the Raptor Racing Overlay menu.
- If the grey lights distract you, turn on "Hide the bars while there are no alerts".
