Step 1

Physical Installation of the Steering Wheel

Replace the original steering wheel of your base with the Raptor F1 Pro Mod. The complete disassembly and assembly process is documented in a video on our YouTube channel.

Step 2

USB Connection

Connect the steering wheel to an available USB port on your console (PS4, PS5, or Xbox). When turned on, the screen will display the Raptor Racing splash screen.

On PC
Preferably use a USB 3.0 port located at the back of the case for greater stability.

Step 3

Screen WiFi Configuration

The screen needs to connect to your WiFi network to receive telemetry. Follow these steps from your phone:

  1. 1 Open your phone's WiFi and search for the network "RaptorF1". Connect to it.
  2. 2 A configuration page will open automatically. If it doesn't appear, open your browser and go to 192.168.4.1
  3. 3 Tap the "Configure WiFi" button.
  4. 4 Select your home network, enter the password, and press Save.

Successful connection
If everything went well, the steering wheel screen will display the assigned IP address in the upper right corner. Write down that IP.

Final Step

In-Game Telemetry Setup

Open Formula 1 2023, 2024, or 2025, go to options and find the UDP Telemetry section. Set the parameters exactly as indicated:

Where do I find the IP?
The IP address appears in the upper right corner of the steering wheel screen once connected to WiFi.

How to reset the connection to change networks

WiFi Reset

Reset Network Connection

The RESET WIFI button on the back allows you to erase the saved network to configure a new one. Use it only when you need to change networks or troubleshoot connectivity issues.

Steps to Reset

  1. 1Unplug the USB cable from the steering wheel.
  2. 2Press and hold the rear RESET WIFI button.
  3. 3Connect the USB while still pressing the button.
  4. 4Wait for the screen to display the Raptor Racing interface.
  5. 5Release the button and configure a new WiFi network.

Don't release the button too early
Keep pressing until the screen correctly displays the Raptor Racing interface. The process may take several seconds.

If you need to switch between Console mode (PS4, PS5, Xbox) and PC mode (SimHub), follow these steps using the large left rear button on the steering wheel:

  1. 1Unplug the USB cable from the steering wheel.
  2. 2Press and hold the large left rear button (THEMES).
  3. 3Connect the USB while still pressing the button.
  4. 4The steering wheel will enter setup mode and request WiFi connection.
  5. 5Connect to WiFi following the same setup process (network "RaptorF1" → 192.168.4.1 → Configure WiFi).
  6. 6Upon saving, the steering wheel will automatically change mode.

PC Mode

The screen will display "Waiting for SimHub..." on startup. Requires SimHub to be installed and configured.

Console Mode

The screen will display the Raptor Racing home screen. Compatible with PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X.

Correct button
Make sure to use the large left rear button (THEMES), not the RESET WIFI button which is on the right side.

Step 2

USB Connection

Connect the steering wheel to a USB 3.0 port on the back of the PC. The screen will display the Raptor Racing logo with the message "Waiting for SimHub..."

Use the rear ports
The USB ports on the back of the case offer greater stability than the front ones.

SimHub and Driver Installation

Select CH341SER.INF in the installer and press INSTALL. The driver corresponds to WCH.CN / USB-Serial CH340.

Step 3.1

SimHub Configuration

Open SimHub and configure the Arduino to detect the steering wheel:

  1. 1Go to Arduino → My Hardware → Single Arduino
  2. 2Activate "Scan only Selected Ports"
  3. 3Select the COM – USB-Serial CH340 port and press Apply
  4. 4The Raptor F1 Pro v1.0 device will appear. Expand it.
  5. 5Click the EDIT button next to "Custom Protocol"

Step 3.2

Load Communication Protocol

This file tells SimHub what data to send to the steering wheel screen.

↓  Download Communication Protocol
  1. 1Download the protocol file using the button above.
  2. 2Unzip and open the .TXT file.
  3. 3Select all (Ctrl+A) and copy (Ctrl+C).
  4. 4Go back to SimHub and paste the code into the "Protocol Message Binding" window.
  5. 5Click OK, then Apply Changes and Apply.

Verification
In the "Raw result" panel, you will see a string of numerical data — this confirms that communication is active and working correctly.

Final Step

Import RGB LED Profile

Import the pre-configured Raptor Racing profile to activate all visual functions of the steering wheel LEDs.

Center LEDs

RPM indicator and Pit Limiter warning.

Side LEDs

Warnings for nearby cars and flags: yellow, green, red, blue, and black.

  1. 1Go to Arduino → RGB Leds → Profiles Manager
  2. 2Click on Import Profile
  3. 3Load the downloaded .ledsprofile file.

The steering wheel includes 2 pre-installed visual themes. Switch between them by pressing the THEMES button on the back of the steering wheel at any time.
